Earlier this month I shared where I get my style inspiration from, and conveniently left out actual people from the list (but did include a bunch of really adorable thing if you feel inclined to take a look). Just so that I could tell you all about my favourite fashion bloggers in a stand-alone post.
Because they’re all pretty awesome. Some you’ll have heard of (probably), some will come as no surprise, and some most aren’t exclusively ‘fashion bloggers’, but I just really like the way they dress.
Eugénie Grey/Feral Creature: feralcreature.com
If there was anyone who could make ‘basic’ cuts and colours look undeniably high end, and positively couture it is Eugénie Grey. Flying the flag for us at the shorter end of the height scale, she styles things in a way that awlays makes her look tall. Even midi-skirts. She also sports a brilliant array of tattoos and picks some super cool locations for outfit shoots.
Essy Noir: noirfairy.com
She’s on my favourite instagrammers list, and I seriously love her style. She has a very clean… aesthetic, for want of a better word. Minimalism with some really fun pieces that add an interesting edge to a neutral colour base. Basically I want her wardrobe.
Not only is Lucy really, really lovely. I really like the way she dresses. We both have a penchant for dressing slightly inappropriately for the weather, and love a good crop. If you’re looking for versatile urban styling, city living and a good dose of graffiti, she’s your gal.
Luanna Perez: lehappy.com
Luanna is probably best known for her fiery ombre hair and her mix of girly-grunge style. A lot of my inspiration comes from how she can adapt all these different kinds of pieces into this effortlessly cool-girl wardrobe. (Not in a Gone Girl cool-girl way, a genuine cool-girl cool-girl way.)
Wendy Nguyen: wendyslookbook.com
If you want lessons in what colours go together and then another one in textures and fabrics, well, Wendy does a fab job in dressing gorgeously. Her style is a little (ok, way) more refined than my slouchy/uni day-to-day, but if I need ideas or inspiration for event dressing, she goes above and beyond.
Noor: queen of jetlags
I love Noor’s style. It’s very versatile, ranging from relaxed and casual to dressy – so much inspiration. I also really want her life, or just the ability to travel as much as she does, because wow.
Bianca Venerayan & Dani Roche: Kastor and Pollux
I love the eye these girls have for graphic design, and their blog design is absolutely stunning. It carries on into the way they dress, too. I love that each outfit looks so effortless, but has (most likely?) had so much thought put into it.
I guess this list makes it seem obvious that you can get onto my ‘faves’ list if you have a lot of black and/or white in your wardrobe, and have a slight bias for clean lines. In reality, I love anyone who injects a serious amount of their personality into the way they dress, and I do have a lot of love for the fashion blogger community as a whole – always on the lookout to add people to my faves list.
Who are your favourite fashion bloggers? Do we snap?
