Ahh summer you're finally here! Which obviously means we break out the sandals without worrying about cold feet, and suddenly people become so much more tanned. (Great for white items, like, seriously great.) So I've been part window shopping and part internet browsing to put together a collection that would be brilliant for these long days and peachy weather.
New Look White Metal Jelly Sandals - £9.99
New Look White patent teardrop chunky cut out chunky t-bar strap shoes - £17.99
Boohoo Cady canvas lace up trainers (ooh converse dupes oooh!) - £12
Public Desire Blaize fuschia pink flatform sandal - £12.99
Office Nova 2 extra high thigh high boot - £67.20
Asos far away leather lace up flat sandals - £22
Missguided cleated chunky flatform sandals iridescent white - £35
Topshop launch platform sandals - £25
I tried the pair of Topshop heels on last week and I think I just about fell in love. And this is coming from a girl who does not like to wear open toed shoes. Or did not. I dunno, the whole concept of needing paint my toenails for presentable tootsies, and the fact you can only really wear them during the summer months without causing hideous offence to someone (I'm a personal fan of selected socks with, actually), just didn't do it for me.
Until the moment I tried on the blasted pair of white shoes.
I wouldn't say I'm a convert, but I can definitely appreciate the appeal. The New Look jelly sandals would be the perfect thing if you're worried about super hard shoe soles that is typical with the flattest of flat sandals, and I think the Asos pair are adorable and very ballerina-esque. The public desire pair have a great pop of colour that I think would be ace with a load of summer outfits.
And of course, summer wouldn't be complete without a little bit of fun, so the iridescent platform pair had to make an appearance. They're fab. And I think the Office pair would look brilliant with a playsuit/romper, floaty ... shawl/wrap (I refuse to call them Kimonos because they aren't), and a wide brim hat. Channeling that retro vibe.
My favourite of all though, are the Boohoo pair. Gotta love a good converse dupe, and the style of trainer looks absolutely brilliant with so many types of outfits. Grunge chic to precious girly-girl. It can take you anywhere.
Which is your favourite pair? Are you a fan of the open toe, or firmly on the other team? I hope you've all had an awesome weekend!
